3 Things To Do in Melbourne this Weekend...
The Sustainable Living Festival at Fed Square this weekend has a wide variety of exhibitors, talks, workshops, art, films and performances celebrating and inspiring sustainable communities. I had a look through the Guide and there were many events worth attending.
1. Slow Fashion Show
Sat 20 Feb Starts 6.30pm
I'm quite excited to go have a look at this show as i would love to find out more about eco-friendly Australian Fashion Designers. I will be on the lookout for designers to stock at my store.
2. Fuel
Fri 19 Feb Starts 8.15pm
The Australian premiere of documentary film 'Fuel' is tonight. Fuel is about how alternative and sustainable energies can reduce the world's addictive dependence on fossil fuels.
Winner Sundance Film Festival Best Documentary Audience Award
Other films on during the festival include The First Wave and Soil in
Good Heart.
3. Getting Your Hands Dirty for a Cleaner World
Sat 20 Feb Starts 5pm
Prue Simmons, a Zoologist and passionate global volunteer, discusses some of the inspiring projects that Conservation volunteers undertake to restore sustainable ecosystems.
Other talks include Building Fauna Friendly Cities, Victoria's Forests- An Alternative Vision, The Power of Chook and Climate Change- Impacts on the World's Poor.
