1. Don't miss Lamington Drive's new exhibition, '100 Kites' by Clemens Habicht. Exhibition runs until October 10.

2. How about a lovely dinner with friends at Birdman Eating on Gertrude St (across the road from Lamington Drive, the gallery above). I had dinner there last night and enjoyed all the shared plates we ordered. We had the Warm calamari, kipfler, chorizo & lemon salad, Spiced lamb skewers with smokey eggplant and the Zucchini & fetta Fritters. Yum!

3. Rose St. Artists' Markets are now open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 5pm. If you love all things handmade and meeting creative Melbourne people who make their own products then you will love Rose St.

4. Party at High Vibes Street Festival on High St in Northcote this Sunday from 12noon - 10pm.

3 Things to Do in Melbourne this weekend:

1. Come along to a Blogger/ Twitter Meet and Greet. Happens tomorrow Saturday 12th September at Sister Bella. From 4pm onwards. It doesn't matter if you write about food, fashion, your suburb, art, design, start-ups, business, or anything else. Everyone is welcome. More details at My Aching Head.

2. Dinner at The Commoner on Johnston St in Fitzroy. Food at the Commoner is about seasonality; proud and honest ingredients served on the plate with a lot of love and a little playfulness. Jo, the owner of The Commoner came into my store today and we had a lovely chat. Such a lovely lady! You will feel very welcomed at The Commoner, which is hard to find in restaurants these days (or in any business for that matter).

3. Go see 'Up' at the movies. Inspiring movie about following your dreams. See the trailer here.

3. Head down to Gorker Gallery in Fitzroy to check out 'SO MANY BROKEN UMBRELLAS' - the Solo Show by Western Australian Artist Creepy.
